Earth Day Park Clean up brought 60 people together!!

Sunday, April 27, 2025

We are so grateful to everyone who came out on Sunday to support our Earth Day Park Cleanup at Rahway River Park! Your time, energy, and enthusiasm made a real difference We’re thrilled to share that, despite rescheduling our rain date, we had a fantastic turnout on Sunday and a truly inspiring day of service and community engagement.

A total of 60 volunteers joined us, including 19 employees from Amazon’s Avenel (EWR5) location, representation from Rahway-based business Kinective, and numerous families, individuals, and returning volunteers. It was especially heartening to see so many young children participating alongside their families—some of whom also fulfilled volunteer hour requirements. Their presence gives us hope that future generations will carry forward the importance of caring for our parks and protecting the environment.

Together, our volunteers collected an incredible 43 bags — 33 bags of trash and 10 bags of recyclables — helping to keep our parks clean, beautiful, and safe for all to enjoy.

It was a sunny but windy day, and the spirit of teamwork and community was unmistakable. We are so proud and thankful for our regular volunteers and the many new faces who joined us. We can't wait to see everyone again at our next cleanup — and we hope even more new volunteers will come out and experience the impact we can make together! Until then, let's all continue to make every day Earth Day!
