2022 Earth Day Clean Up
Hey Park lovers! In honor of Earth Day, we're spring cleaning and invite you to help clean the Rahway River Park with us on Saturday, April 23, 11:00 am-1:00 pm. We are meeting at the Lakeside Picnic area (on the right, past the main parking lot) and will provide supplies such as bags, grabbers, and gloves, thanks to the county and their Adopt-A-Park program. All volunteers are asked to dress accordingly in long sleeves, boots, or comfortable sneakers and gloves. Rain date, Sunday, April 24th, same time.
The area of focus is the pond since it is littered with a significant amount of debris, garbage, and plastic. We'd also like to venture out by the river depending on the number of participants joining us.
We will begin at 11 am, but any time volunteers can dedicate to our cleanup effort is greatly appreciated! Please check in and register at the welcome table. We will also have material on our organization as well as lite refreshments. Help us celebrate the parks and Olmsted's 200 birthday anniversary!
